Oh my gosh can I please just throw money at you and ask you to make me this?? I am dying to have a high quality female cap costume. Your photo inspired me (as well as Chris Evans hehehe) to cosplay this character. Just stunning, oh my gosh.

I haven't come across a Captain America costume better than this! Can you make me this costume? I'm highly disappointed with what I've seen everywhere, especially for a female. I refuse to wear a short dress that looks like a flag and makes me look like a street Walker!

Amazing, simply amazing. I really like everything about this costume, it suits you very well! And its just so WOW! I'm sitting here not able to stop fangirling. :D

But now I have some questions... First of all: Would it be okay if I tried to make a costume of Captain America myself following this great example? And then: What kind of materials did you use on the red and white piece in the middle? Is it sewn to the blue jacket or just worn beneath? It seems to be out of the same material like the shoes and the gauntlets (BIG COMPLIMENT ON THEM AS WELL!), am I right?... What are they made of? And for the shield, is that real metal? And last question: How long did it take to finish all of this?

I'm glad you like it, and of course you can make one as well! We should all have the joy of being Captain America.

The red and white piece is an overbust corset made of red and white pleather (Spiral steel bones). I picked it up at the local fabric store in their remnants sections, and I used the red to cover the boots as well. The boots were just tall combat style boots in black that I covered with the same fabric as the corset. I also used EVA foam to make the gauntlets and boot shield things (the straps are red dyed elastic)

You can see some of my build pieces here at the RPF: www.therpf.com/f24/captain-ame…

Excellent costume, and excellent pose and picture.
Bravo to you and to the photographer.

You really sell the character: believable, authoritative, with a calm hope in the future despite all the battles. :)
